We provide optimal mental health care for the whole family. We employ evidence based medicine to provide individualized care for each patient. We treat each person with respect, honesty, integrity, and compassion. Our goal is to help each person attain their maximum potential, and to function to the best of their ability.

F. Ada N. Ifesinachukwu, M. D.

Dr. Ada has been a psychiatrist for 12 years, six of those years in the Austin Area. She received her general and adult psychiatry training at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training at Scott and White Memorial Hospital, Temple/Texas A&M University Health Science Center. After training Dr. Ada worked with a group practice in Austin before starting Summit Mental Health Clinic in August, 2004.

Dr. Ada employs the DSM IV -TR criteria, and tailors it to fit individual needs. As a member of the American Psychiatric Assosiation and American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Dr. Ada has access to the latest, most recent journal publications to keep treatments up-to-date. At Summit Mental Health Clinic, Dr. Ada is the only doctor, and has an administrative staff. Dr. Ada currently shares office space with the following: Carol Mitchum, Ph.D who has a specialty with Autism Spectrum disorders and school related problems , Sue Isola, MA.,LPC who works primarily with children especially in play therapy and is Bilingual; and Latha Iyengar, LMSW who works with adolescents, adults using Cognitive behavioral therapy and others.
