Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about our services, your first visit, or what to expect? Below are answers to some of the most common questions we hear from patients. If you don’t see yours, please give us a call at (512) 732-2122 — we’re always happy to help.

What conditions does Summit Mental Health Clinic treat?

Our team specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and treatment-resistant depression. We provide care for both children and adults, with personalized treatment plans designed around each patient’s unique needs.

Who will I see at my appointment?

Summit Mental Health Clinic is led by Francisca Ifesinachukwu, MD — known to patients as Dr. Ada — alongside our experienced team of mental health providers, including Amanda Sanders, PA-C, and Georgia [last name/credentials]. Every member of our team is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a welcoming environment.

Do you see children as well as adults?

Yes. We provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment for both children and adults. Our child and adolescent psychiatry services are designed to support young patients and their families with age-appropriate, compassionate care.

What is genetic testing, and how does it help my treatment?

Genetic testing helps us understand how your body may respond to certain psychiatric medications. Conducted conveniently in our in-house lab, this testing allows us to personalize your medication plan — reducing trial and error and helping you find the right treatment faster.

What is Spravato, and who is it for?

Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray for adults with treatment-resistant depression — meaning depression that hasn’t improved with traditional antidepressants. Administered in our clinic under medical supervision, Spravato often provides relief in days rather than weeks.

Do you offer telemedicine appointments?

Yes. We offer secure telehealth appointments so patients can receive psychiatric care from the comfort of home. Telemedicine is available for many of our services, including follow-ups and medication management.

How do I become a new patient or schedule an appointment?
